AEOI head: IAEA should be impartial, professional
The Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said Tehran believes that the monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should be impartially, professionally, and independently.


The 66th Annual Regular Session of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference kicked off at the international body in Vienna on Monday.

The Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, is present at the meeting to deliver his speech. He is scheduled to meet with the IAEA's Head, Rafael Grossi.

Contribution to the technical cooperation fund for 2023, IAEA and the corona pandemic, safety and nuclear security, strengthening the IAEA's technical cooperation, strengthening the IAEA's activities relating to science, technology, and nuclear usages as well as the use of IAEA's safeguards in the West Asian region were among the pillars the 5-day meeting.

Speaking at the 66th Annual General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Mohammad Eslami stated that Iran expects the International Atomic Energy Agency not to allow some to raise outdated accusations against Iran to maintain. The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran noted that the case of false accusations against Iranwas closed in 2015 and should not be reopened again under various pretexts.

Eslami stressed that the International Atomic Energy Agency should avoid relying on baseless information from unreliable sources and the Islamic Republic is always ready for constructive interaction.

The 66th annual general conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency began in Vienna, Austria, with the participation of the representatives of the member states.

Vice President and Head of AEOI is going to meet IAEA Director General Rafael, Mariano Grossi.
