An earthquake measuring 4.8 magnitude on the Richter scale has hit Roshtkhar county in Razavi Khorasan province.
The earthquake occurred at 12:15 local time at Monday noon, and at the depth of 8 kilometers, a provincial official said.
Hossein Bahoush, governor of Roshtkhar county, told IRNA on Monday that the earthquake took place at the depth of 8 kilometers in Kal Soheh resort of Fathabad village near Roshtkhar city.
According to the city official, there has not been any report of potential damages or human losses so far.
Roshtkhar county is divided into two parts, including central areas and forest regions.
The city is surrounded by Zaveh city from north and northeast, Torbat-e Heydarieh from northwest, Gonabad from southwest and south, as well as Khaf from southeast and east.
The Roshtkhar county is located 213 kilometers south of the holy city of Mashhad, capital of Razavi Khorasan province.
