Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kan'ani in a message described the Zionist regime�s nuclear military program as a serious threat to international security and the non-proliferation regime.

In his Twitter message, Kan'ani wished success to the new Iranian Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the United Nations office in Vienna Mohsen Naziri-Asl.

According to the IAEA statute, it is expected that promoting the peaceful use and non-deviation of the peaceful nuclear energy objectives, without discrimination, is the concern of the IAEA and its director general, he said.

The advanced nuclear military program of the apartheid Israeli regime and its reluctance to put its nuclear facilities under comprehensive safeguards and not to join the non-proliferation treaty is a serious threat to international security and the non-proliferation regime, he added.

The IAEA is expected to fulfill its responsibility in this regard according to its statute, he noted.
