Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and Spanish Red Cross on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Geneva, Swiss.
President of the IRCS Pir-Hossein Kolivand met and held talks with President of the Spanish Red Cross Javier Senent Garcia.
Kolivand emphasized the issues of mutual interest in developing bilateral relations and using shared experiences to promote the capability of the two sides against accidents and crises.
Pointing to the areas of cooperation between IRCS and Spanish RC, he stressed the need to establish a joint committee, adding that the representatives of both states will soon operationalize the MoU so that the areas of mutual cooperation would be evaluated while more specialized and necessary measures would be taken to implement the signed MoU.
Javier Senent Garcia, for his part, called IRCS a powerful and successful population with valuable experiences and emphasized the interest of the Spanish RC to develop relations with the IRCS.
