Palestine appoints its new ambassador to Iran

Salam Al-Zawawi is appointed as new Palestinian ambassador to Tehran.

Salam is daughter of Salah Al-Zawawi, the former Palestinian ambassador to Tehran, Palestinian news agency of Ma’an reported on Saturday evening.

The swearing-in ceremony was held in Amman, Jordanian capital, in the presence of chairman of Palestinian authority Mahmoud Abbas.

Salam Al-Zawawi is the third ambassador of Palestine to Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Salah Al-Zawawi bade farewell to Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a meeting on Thursday.
