Spokesman for Iran�s Foreign Ministry Saeed Khatibzadeh said that Iran has always respected Iraq�s territorial integrity and this policy wouldn�t change.






Khatibzadeh said on Saturday�that raising the flag of Iraqi Kurdistan Region during the official reception of Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani on Thursday was a mistake made by the reception team in the airport.

Iran has always respected Iraq�s territorial integrity and this is a unchangeable policy, he added.

Head of Iraqi Kurdistan Region Nechirvan�Barzani traveled to Iran to attend the inauguration of Iran's new President Ebrahim Raisi.
