World leaders congratulate Iran

Many political leaders and prominent figures in the region and the world in separate messages congratulated Iran's President-elect Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi for his victory in the 13th presidential election.







In a statement on Saturday afternoon, interior minister Rahmani Fazli announced the final result of the presidential election.Final presidential elections results on Saturday showed that Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi won Friday's votes by a landslide, gaining 61.95% of the total votes.

Following the announcement of Raeisi's winning in the 13th presidential election,many political leaders and prominent figures in the region and the world offered their congratulations on his victory.

Afghanistan:

The Head of Afghanistans High Council for National ReconciliationAbdullahAbdullah in a message congratulated Ebrahim Raeisis victory.

He also expressed hope thatWith the victory of Raeisi, the relations between the two governments and the two nations in the fields of culture, economy, fight against drug trafficking, as well as the fight against terrorism will be further expanded and strengthened.

Uzbekistan:

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, thePresident ofUzbekistan, also offered his congratulations to Ebrahim Raeisi on his victory in Friday presidential elections.

Iraqi Kurdistan Region:

In his congratulatory message to President-elect Raeisi,Head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzaniexpressed hope that the strengthening of Baghdad-Erbil relations with Tehran would be based on good neighborliness and common interests.

Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani alsosent a message on Raeisi's victory on Sunday. "The Iraqi Kurdistan Region is interested in working with you [Raeisi] to strengthen long-term relations based on mutual interests and respect, and to promote peace and stability in the region."

Lebanon:

Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallahhas offered his congratulation on Raeisis victory in the elections.

Venezuela:

In a message, Nicolas Maduro, thePresident of Venezuela,congratulated Ebrahim Raeisi on victory in the Iran presidential elections.

"President-elect Ebrahim Raeisi and the Iranian people will enjoy the unconditional support of President Nicolas Maduro in order to deepen the unity of the peoples of the two countries in the face of struggles for social justice, dignity and sovereignty in a troubled world and to continue building a multipolar world," the message read.

Palestine:

Head of Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbassent a congratulatory message to Raeisi on Sunday, emphasizing the strong will of the Palestinian Authority to strengthen joint cooperation in the interests of the two countries and the two nations.

Belarus:

Alexander Lukashenko, the President ofBelarus,congratulated Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi on his victory in the Iranian presidential elections.

"I hope that with your guidance, Iran will be able to overcome all external obstacles and achieve significant progress in economic and social development and that long-term friendly relation with Belarus will continue to be strengthened and expanded in all dimensions," his message read.

Kazakhstan:

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayevsent a congratulatory message to Raeisi on Sunday, saying that heconsidered Iran as a friendly neighbor in the Caspian region and one of Kazakhstan's reliable partners in the Islamic world.

He voiced readiness for joint efforts with the President of Iran to further strengthen cooperation in bilateral and multilateral relations.

India:

Prime Minister of IndiaNarendra Modi has also offered his congratulation on Raeisis victory in the elections.

In a tweet on Sunday,Modiwrote, "Congratulations to His Excellency Ebrahim Raeisi on his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I look forward to working with him to further strengthen the warm ties between India and Iran."
