Araghchi: JCPOA remaining issues need to be decided in capitals
Iran's top nuclear negotiator Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday that the remaining important issues of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) require serious decisions in capitals, especially in negotiating states.

The sixth round of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action aka JCPOA Joint Commission meeting between Iran and P4+1 which was chaired by Enrique Mora, the coordinator of the nuclear deal talks in Vienna, ended a while ago.

During the 6th meeting in Vienna, the parties expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing and intensive efforts of the expert teams and examined the results of the current round of talks.

Referring to the progress made in this round of negotiations, especially on the draft texts of the negotiations, Araghchi said that the JCPOA's remaining important issues require serious decisions in capitals, especially in the countries of negotiating parties.

He called on the negotiating parties to realistically make the necessary decisions with the seriousness and strong will to preserve and revive the JCPOA.

Deputy FM noted that they have made good progress this round and now they are closer to an agreement than ever.

He expressed hope that the final conclusion will reach the next round, saying, he hopes it will reach in the next round, although it cannot be guaranteed.

While confirming the progress made, the heads of other delegations also stressed the need for all parties to participate with a constructive approach in creating the ground for reaching an agreement.
