Tehran stocks near flatline

Financial Tribune – After rising more than 1% at the opening of trade, Tehran stocks closed Tuesday’s session near a flatline as sell-off pressure mounted in the final hours of the session.

The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 794.43 points, or 0.07%, for the day to end trading session at 1,118,118.06.

Sell-off hit mainly large-cap stocks as the equal weighted index finished at positive territory at 0.68%. Unlike the market cap-weighted TEDPIX, the equal weighted index gives the same weight to all stocks irrespective of their market cap.
