Financial Tribune - The European Union member states, Persian Gulf littoral countries, Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand were the main export destinations

A total of 121,000 tons of seafood and related products worth over $390 were exported from Iran during the first 10 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019-Jan. 20, 2020), the director general of Seafood Quality Improvement, Processing and Market Promotion Department affiliated to Iran Fisheries Organization said.

�These products were exported mainly to European Union member states, Persian Gulf littoral countries, Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. These countries are Iran's long-standing seafood export markets. Last year, we also had exports to China and South Korea,� Isa Golshahi was also quoted as saying by Mizan Online.

The official noted that 28,000 tons worth more than $102 million of the total figure were related to shrimp exports.
