President Rouhani condoles Turkish citizens’ loss in recent quake

ISNA – President of the Islamic Republic of Iran sent a message to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan to offer him and the people of Turkey condolences over the recent earthquake deaths and expressed the Iranian government’s readiness to deliver aid to quake-hit people.

President Hassan Rouhani’s message is as follows:

Your Excellency Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Honourable President of Turkey

The earthquake in Elazig Province and the loss and injury of a number of people in that province caused great grief and sorrow.

On behalf of the government and nation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I offer my sincere condolences and sympathy to Your Excellency and the friendly and brotherly Turkish people and wish patience for the bereaved families.

The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is fully ready to deliver aid to the people in the quake-hit areas and we hope that peace and relief return to the areas hit by the earthquake as soon as possible with the Almighty’s attention.
