Iran to return to JCPOA commitments after concluding agreements with Europe


MNA President Hassan Rouhani said Wed. that "Iran's third step is under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and it is reversible."







Speaking with the President of France EmmanuelMacronby telephone late on Wednesday evening, the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said"If agreements with Europe are finalized, we are ready to return to our JCPOA obligations and Iran and a P5+1 meeting is only possible when sanctions are lifted.

Appreciating the French President for his efforts, Rouhani referred to Irans third step in reducing its JCPOA commitments and emphasized"Iran's third step is under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and it is reversible."

Rouhani also described the JCPOA's solidity and security in waterways worldwide, including the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, as two main goals and said that they are beneficial to the entire world, including the European Union and even the United States.

Stressing that the JCPOA was a great opportunity for everyone to invest in Iran's developing economy, he said, "It is essential that the European Union, especially France, play their partin saving the JCPOA".

During the same phone call, President of France referred to his country's intensive negotiations with American officials regarding a new package, saying "France will continue its efforts to implement the provisions of the JCPOA and reach an agreement."

Emmanuel Macron also mentioned his country's future plans for continuation of negotiations and reaching an agreement.

The two presidents also agreed to continue their negotiations.
