Tasnim – An Iranian cleric highlighted the US’ diminishing power in the political and economic arenas, saying the US ruling regime is suffering from “strategic confusion.”
Addressing worshippers in Tehran on Friday, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari said the US government’s economic power has declined in such a way that “American hegemony” is going to disappear in future.
“Having developed the strategic confusion illness, the US ruling regime is making a last-ditch attempt to protect the US image, but this is impossible,” he added.
Pointing to Washington’s critical conditions in the cultural and social arenas, the Iranian cleric said its political conditions have been also aggravated during Donald Trump’s tenure.
Haj Ali Akbari noted that the formation of “axis of resistance” has further diminished the US’ regional power and credibility.
In Syria, the morale of people has been raised in spite of the US plots, the cleric noted, saying a recent attack on Hashd al-Shaabi (aka Popular Mobilization Units) in Iraq has also triggered a new anti-US wave in the Arab country.
The provisional Friday prayers leader also noted that Saudi Arabia’s plans for Yemen have failed in such a way that the Saudi-led coalition is looking for way for an honorable exit from the battlefield.
Haj Ali Akbari finally stated that the US plots for division within Lebanon have also failed, and the Palestinian groups Islamic Jihad and Hamas have also enhanced unity in the face of the US.
In comments in November 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei highlighted the diminishing influence of the US government in all areas of power, saying Washington has even discredited “liberal democracy” which is known as the basis of Western civilization.
There is a consensus among major international experts that the US power is dwindling in all areas, the Leader underscored, adding that, conversely, the Iranian nation is moving forward and has a bright future.
Ayatollah Khamenei also branded the US government as the loser of confrontation with the Islamic Republic over the past 40 years, saying the fact in confrontation between the US and Iran is that “the victorious side in this challenge has been the Islamic Republic of Iran and the loser has been the US.”
