IRNA - Iran says the improper remarks of the US President Donlad Trump just confirms his hostility against the Iranian nation.


Stressing that Iran is the biggest victim of terrorism in the Middle East, the permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the United Nations Majid Takht-e Ravanchi stressed that the controversial remarks of the President of the United States about Iran are a clear indication of his infinite hostility towards the great nation of Iran.

In response to the US President Donald Trump's labeling the Iranian nation as terrorist on Thursday, the senior diplomat highlighted that his heinous remarks, more than anything, reveals his lack of information about thousands-year old history of Iran as well as his ignorance about the Iranian people.

The Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations further stated that these positions are not unfamiliar to Iran, because it can be interpreted in the in the light of the cruel American sanctions, which is another obvious example of hostility to the Iranian people.

Takht-e Ravanchi added that Iran is the biggest victim and at the same time the most powerful enemy of terrorism in the region.

He said destruction of ISIS and other similar terrorist groups in recent years has been one of Iran's latest achievements which was also acknowledged by President Trump during his electoral campaign.
