Iran-Vietnam non-oil trade sees significant decline in value

Xinhua - Iran traded 133,762 tons of non-oil commodities worth 231.78 million U.S. dollars with Vietnam in the last Iranian year ended on March 20, 2019, Eghtesadonline daily reported on Sunday.

The figures registered a 42.22-percent decrease in weight and a 448.18-percent decline in value compared with the previous year.

Iran's exports to Vietnam stood at 115,259 tons worth 186.04 million dollars. Vietnam was Iran's 24th export destination during the period.

Iran mainly exported saffron, shrimp, dried figs and lead to Vietnam.

The Islamic republic imported 18,503 tons of goods worth 45.74 million dollars from Vietnam. The southeastern Asian country was the 45th exporter of goods to Iran during the year.

Vietnam exports mainly included coffee, pepper, fish feed and cellphones.
