Malaysian Islamic Institutes representatives visit Khuzestan

IRNA – Representatives of the Malaysian Islamic Institutes arrived in Khuzestan province on Wednesday to see extent of the damages inflicted by floods on the provincial population.

Managing director of Khuzestan Red Crescent Society Ali Khodadadi told IRNA that the five-member team is on a visit to the province to determine the scale of the damage sustained by the flood-hit areas.

The objective behind the team’s two-day visit is to use capabilities of Malaysia in a bid to help the affected people and determine priorities for granting aid, he said.

Visiting the emergency settlement camps and process of delivery of emergency supplies were the agenda of the Malaysian team on the first day of visit to the province, Khodadadi said.
