US cannot impose its will on entire world: Pak analyst
IRNA - A senior Pakistani analyst termed the US decision to end sanctions waivers for Iran oil exports as extremely unfair and said it cannot impose its will on the entire world.

In an interview with IRNA, Lieutenant General (Retd) Talat Masood said the US unilateral actions would create serious problems for the rest of the world.

After withdrawing from Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and re-imposition of unilateral sanctions against Iran the US had agreed to let eight countries, including China, Japan, India and South Korea, Taiwan, Italy and Greece keep buying Iranian oil.

However, in a statement, the White House said US President Donald Trump has decided not to renew waivers that allow eight countries to buy Iranian oil without facing Washington's sanctions.

Talat Masood said: 'Well I think this is extremely unfair because US is not a country which can impose its will on the entire world.'

If there was any action that had to be taken, it has to have the approval of the United Nations and of all world powers, he said.

The analyst expressing his views said if the US unilaterally takes this position it creates serious problems for the rest of the world. He added that the US is trying to create sharp divisions and impose its will and its program of hegemony over the world by re-imposing sanctions.

This is unfair and I would expect that Chinese, Russians and other major countries even European countries will try not to go by what Americans have to say, he noted.

The expert added the US administration is pursuing a very aggressive policy towards Iran just to please the Zionist regime.

They think that Iran is standing up to Zionist regime and promote the interests of the Muslim world so I think they want to suppress Iran because of that, viewed Talat Masood.
