Iran's 'friendship' flotilla docks at Kazakh port Aktau

IRNA An Iranian Navy flotilla comprised of two guided-missile destroyers docked at Aktau port in Kazakhstan on Wednesday.

The Iranian flotilla dubbed peace and friendship is comprised of two guided-missile destroyers of Separ and Joshan. It was received officially by military and government officials of Kazakhstan.

A ceremony to welcome the flottila was held in presence of Iran's Ambassador to Khazakhstan Majid Saber, the governor of Mangystau province, Iran's consul general in Aktau and Iranian military attach in Kazakhstan.

A three-day stay at the Kazakh port of Aktau is the second mission for the Iranian flotilla after the first one which took place some two years ago.

A Kazakh flotilla made a reciprocal journey to Iranian port, Anzali, in October 2017.

Capitan of the flotilla Mohammad Mehdi Ahmadi and Ambassador Saber said in interviews with local media that the flotilla carries the message of peace and friendship of Iranian people and government to their Kazakh counterparts.
