Leader appoints ex-IRGC commander as Baghiatallah base chief

IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a decree appointed former commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari as the new chief of Baghiatallah cultural and social base.

In his decree, Supreme Leader said thanks to Major General Jafari presence in cultural fields and his role in soft war, he is appointed as head of Baghatallah cultural and social base.

You are expected to make use of the profound capacities in the society, especially among religious scholars, cultural elites and revolutionary youth to promote Islamic Revolution’s ideals based on the Decree for Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution, by planning and maintaining synergy and interaction with IRGC and Basij cultural centers.

Meanwhile, in a separate decree, Supreme Leader appointed Brigadier General Hossein Salami as new commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC).
