SANA - �Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council Ali Larijani� stressed that the Zionist-American conspiracy hatched against Syria over the past years has been huge, but its planners and sponsors have failed.

In a statement to Iranian al-Alam TV channel on Sunday, Larijani said that the �goal behind that conspiracy is to create a big problem in the region and to allow the Israeli occupation entity to usurp its resources.�

�Yet that conspiratorial scheme has failed and Syria has been able to remain steadfast and to restore its role again,� Larijani added.

He affirmed that �The United States of America is embarrassed now cause all the region�s countries no longer trust it.�
