Iran parliament passes budget outlines

IRNA – Iran’s parliament approved outlines of the country’s budget for the next fiscal year that will start March 21.

117 lawmakers voted in favor of the budget outlines while 86 parliamentarians cast their votes against the bill. 8 other lawmakers abstained.

As the bill was being debated, 5 parliamentary members spoke against and five others in favor.

The bill’s details are set to be debated on the parliament’s public floor during morning and evening sessions on Sunday.
