Iranian nation united in face of enemies: Speaker

IRNA – The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larjani, saying that the Iranian people are united against the enemies, emphasized that the massive turnout of the people in Bahman 22 Marches (the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory) will definitely dishearten the enemies.

On the sidelines of Bahman 22 Marches here on Monday to mark the 40th anniversary of the Islaimic Revolution’s victory, the senior official pointed to the massive and passionate participation of the people on the rallies and highlighted, ‘This enormous rally shows that nothing and no action hinders the high turnout and enemies must understand that the roots of the revolution are strong and in the face of the enemies, the nation of Iran are united.

He went on to say that ‘No doubt that the widespread presence of the people on the Bahman 22 March and the nation’s support for the Revolution are disappointing the enemies, and they are pursuing other scenarios after this failure.’

Larijani noted, ‘The massive participation of the people in the Bahman 22 Marches is a great achievement for the country and is the way to find solutions for the problems, and the enemies also learn from this passionate presence and change their behavior.’

On the US official claims regarding the Islamic Republic will not see its 40th anniversary, the Speaker said that they utter so many irrelevant words and should not be taken seriously.

As the media reports show, the turnout of the participants in the rallies of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution on Monday is tremendous in Tehran and other cities of Iran.

The ralliers were carrying banners, placards and balloons with slogans and pictures of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini and the leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on them.

Iranians in the capital, Tehran and more than 1,000 other cities and towns and in 4,000 villages have attended the rallies with flags of Iran and banners in support of the Islamic Republic.
