UNIDO ready for industrial cooperation with Iran

IRNA – the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is ready to expand cooperation with Iran in many industrial fields as it attaches high significance to the country.

Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) LI Yong made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Envoy to International Organizations in Vienna, Austria, Kazem Gharibabadi.

Li Yong said new projects will be drawn up and presented on the suggestion of the Iranian party.

Gharibabadi, for his part, said while enjoying high scientific and industrial potential Iran is ready to share related development experience with the UNIDO.

He hoped for the further expansion of Iran-UNIDO relations.

Based on an agreement, reached between the two sides, a UNIDO delegation will visit Iran in 2019 to assess Iran’s needs and find ways for expediting implementation of the underway projects.
