Several acts of sabotage defused: Intelligence minister

IRNA – Intelligence minister said that his ministry has defused several acts of sabotage on the occasion of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution anniversary.

Several teams who have made lots of efforts to destabilize the country’s security, in particular on the occasion of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution anniversary (February 11), were identified and their members were arrested, Hojatoleslam Mahmoud Alavi told reporters on Thursday without giving further details.

The minister said that there is maximum security in the country as celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution are approaching.

The 10-day period from the Imam Khomeini’s return on February 1, 1979, until the revolution’s victory on February 11 is celebrated in Iran annually and is dubbed as the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn).
