IRNA � Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani says reforms in structure of the country's budget will be the priority in the next Iranian calendar year of 1398 (to start on March 21, 2019).


Larijani told a group of mediapersons that the budget will be reformed based on the ongoing conditions of the country and with a focus on a wider role of the public in national economy.

He said Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a message to heads of the three branches of government has asked them to make the necessary changes to the next year budget to be in tune with the ongoing conditions of the country.

He added that government downsizing, increase in the productivity of activities, budgeting based on functions and promotion of activities through public contribution will be among changes in the next year budget as proposed.
