Iran, INSTEX founding states to talk in Paris

IRNA First round of talks between Iran and three European founding countries of Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX) will be held in Paris soon, said deputy foreign minister for political affairs on Tuesday.

It was agreed during Seyyed Abbas Araqchis talks with French officials that the trio and discuss details of the vehicle aimed at facilitating trade with Iran.

On January 31, German, British and French foreign ministers in a news meeting in Bucharest officially announced registration of the European special financial mechanism known as the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX).

Araqchi left Tehran for Paris on Monday on a four-nation tour of Europe to attend the sixth round of Iran-France political dialogues.

Meeting between the two sides officials is to be held on Tuesday.

Araqchi held the sixth meeting of Iran-France political dialogues with the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Maurice Gourdault-Montagne on Tuesday.

Araqchi will also visit Austria, Slovakia and Bulgaria during touring Europe.
