Power in West Asia meaningless without Iran: Army Cmdr

IRNA – Today the geometry of power in West Asia makes no sense without Iran, said the Commander of the Iranian Army in a message on Saturday issued on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

‘Under the leadership of Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Islamic Revolution has been the source of historic developments in the region and the world in a way that the unique discourse of the Islamic Revolution is based on defending the oppressed and fighting the oppressors,’ said Major-General Abdorraheem Mousavi.

General Mousavi said Iran has survived the conspiracies, crisis-making, and subversion plots of the world hegemony and is going to celebrate its 40th anniversary soon.

Saying that enemies of Iran have started a psychological war to question the Islamic Establishment’s achievement to drift the people and the authorities apart, he said that the enemy is ‘desperately trying to weaken the Islamic Establishment’, but its efforts are doomed to failure.
