Iran, Syria sign MoU on cinematic cooperation

IRNA - During a visit of the high-level business and economic delegation of Iran to Damascus, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cinematic cooperation has been signed.

According to Syrian official news agency (SANA) on Wednesday, within the framework of the strengthening of cultural cooperation between Syria and Iran, the Syrian Cinema Institute and the Irans Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs Organization signed a memorandum of cooperation to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, especially in the context of the role of cinema in the fight against extremist and terrorist ideas.

Murad Shaheen, director of the Syrian cinema organization, said the memorandum was a full project of cinematic cooperation between the two countries, and Syria could use advanced Iranian experiences in the cinema industry to strengthen and develop Syrian cinema.

He added that the Memorandum of Understanding includes all areas related to the cinema sector, including workshops, exchange of experiences and use in the two countries, and the expansion of the broadcast of the film, the opening of cinemas with the most advanced technologies, the use of experienced people and professionals, producing cinematic products, facilitating production and imaging, and film production in both countries.
