Pak PM Iran visit should be on the cards: Pak MP

IRNA - Chairperson of Pakistan Senate Standing Committee on Maritime Affairs has said that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan should visit Iran as early as possible.

In an interview with IRNA Nuzhat Sadiq Member of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) said we need to focus on our ties with Iran.

The politician said there is good progress in Iran-Pakistan ties and previous Pakistan government under Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took many positive steps in this regards.

Former PM Nawaz Sharif was very keen to have good relations with Iran, she said.

The lawmaker said that we need to move on regarding ties with Iran and take it further.

We are in this region and we need to progress and economically go stronger, Senator noted.

Lawmaker expressing her views said economically going stronger means that you need to have a safe and conducive environment and for that we need to pursue our good relations with our neighbors especially Iran.

Parliamentarian went on to say that Pakistan believes in having good relations with all our neighbors, be it Iran, Afghanistan or India.

Senator Nuzhat Sadiq hoped that Prime Minister Imran Khan would be visiting Iran.

She said that there was no reason for his delay in visiting Iran as he we was too busy in dealing with internal matters. But in near future he will visit Iran and he should, the MP added.
