Iran's share in contract with Indians in Chabahar larger

IRNA - The Director General of Ports and Maritime Organization of Sistan and Baluchestan province said that the Islamic Republic of Iran's share of all revenues from import, export and transit of goods in the port of Shahid Beheshti of Chabahar is more than India.

Behrooz Aqaei said on Wednesday that Iran's share of export, import and transit revenues in Shahid Beheshti Port of Chabahar is 60 percent and India has 40 percent share in these sectors.

He said that India's annual income from operations in Shahid Beheshti port is estimated at 10 years, adding that according to the contract, India will pay a portion of its transit and transshipment to Iran from any amount of goods entering this port.

The Director General for Ports and Maritime Organization of Sistan and Baluchestan said that in the next five years, Iran's 60% share of the contract will increase.
