IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani late on Monday slammed US officials’ statements that the Iranian nation will not see the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, saying the people will celebrate the occasion with great passion on the streets.
Addressing a gathering of Shia and Sunni scholars in Golestan province, he added that the Iranian nation will resolutely respond to them on the national day of 22 Bahman (February 11).
Noting that today, Muslims around the world are under pressure, he said that in order to gain success against enemy, there is no option but to return to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) lifestyle.
Comparing today’s facilities with those before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he said that Iran’s electricity capacity stood at 7,000 megawatts on the first day of the Islamic Revolution, while the figure has now reached 80,000 megawatts.
He also called for active presence in cyberspace in a bid to counter the enemies’ propaganda.
