Iran’s ground forces turned offensive, rapid reaction units: Cmdr

IRNA – The commander of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Republic Army says the Islamic Republic Army’s ground force units have turned into ‘offensive mobile’ and ‘rapid reaction’ units.

Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari said on Tuesday that the Army’s Ground Force have undergone a profound transformation in their units in recent years in line with the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

He added that with the guidance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Islamic Republic Army’s ground forces crossed the traditional units, and nowadays it is comprised of an offensive mobile and rapid reaction units.

The commander explained, ‘These units are more efficient and more operational than the former army units that were operating in the past.’

Heidari described the formation of these units as unprecedented and impressive, saying that the formation of offensive mobile units and rapid reaction could have increased the efficiency and effectiveness of the Army’s Ground Force.
