SHANA -- Iranian experts at the fourth onshore refinery of the supergiant South Pars gas field managed to renovate and run the plant�s turbo-compressors without interrupting production.

Mehdi Alipour, an official with the refinery, said the experts at the facility were able to launch the compressors without recourse to foreign aid, adding preparation of 25 MW SGT 600 compressors of 105-106 units were long used for their parts, but the project to renovate them began in 2016.

He said the compressors were tested for constant operation so that production of the facility would continue uninterrupted.
