SG of Islamic Jihad Movement visits Tehran

January 1, The Iran Project – Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement Ziad al-Nakhala paid an official visit to Tehran and held meetings with senior Iranian officials.

Nakhala’s stay in the capital Tehran featured talks with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani, President Hassan Rouhani, Chairman of Iran-Palestine Friendship Parliamentary Group, Amir Khojasteh, and Iran’s Police Cheif Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari.

As he received the Palestinian official, Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran will never back away from supporting Palestine despite the heavy pressure from the world’s arrogant powers.

The Leader commended the Palestinian resistance against Israeli occupation forces as the main reason behind Palestine’s constant victories against the Tel Aviv regime over the past years and the key to more victories in the future.

Noting that Palestine was on the path towards “greater victories,” the Leader said: “The main victory is that Palestinian people and resistance groups were able to bring the Zionist regime to its knees, a feat that Arabic armies could never accomplish.”

Nakhala gave a report of the most recent developments of the occupied Palestine, abilities and the high-level readiness of the resistance groups, and added people of Gaza Strip have been standing against the Zionists and their Deal of the Century, which can be seen in the weekly Friday protest of the Great March of Return.

He also said that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement is so ready that, in case of a war, Tel Aviv and all the Zionist cities and settlements are in the range of thousands of missiles.

In a meeting with the secretary general, FM Zarif underlined that the Islamic Republic will continue support for the Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation.

The top Iranian diplomat emphasized that supporting Palestine was a fundamental principle of the Islamic Republic’s foreign policy.

Nakhala, for his part, appreciated Iran for its real support for the Palestinian cause and said the resistance front now enjoys higher capacities and capabilities against the aggressors compared to the past.

He also blasted attempts by certain Arab and Western states to weaken the resistance, and said, “The Palestinian people will continue their path with a stronger resolve than before until full victory.”

During talks with Ziad al-Nakhala, Shamkhani stated that that Zionist media outlets have launched massive propaganda to overshadow the serious crimes that Israel is committing against people of Palestine against the backdrop of the barbaric activities of Takfiri terrorist groups.

He further denounced the overt and covert support from certain Arab states for the so-called “deal of the century” initiated by the US, warning that implementation of the so-called peace plan will deal a heavy blow to the Palestinian nation.

For his part, the Palestinian official reiterated that the axis of resistance’s capability to fight off aggressors has been materialized in the massive wave of protests known as the Great March of Return, in Israel’s defeat in its recent aggression, and in the Zionist regime’s decision to hold a snap election.

Back in May, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said Palestine would finally be freed from the clutches of enemies and that Jerusalem al-Quds would be the capital of Palestinian state despite the US attempts to distort this reality.

In a meeting with the Palestinian official, President Rouhani described resistance against the Israeli regime as the only way for the Palestinian nation to obtain its own rights, stressing that all Muslims must support the Palestinians’ right of return and establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem al-Quds as its capital.

Nakhala, for his part, briefed the Iranian president on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian lands, and the capabilities of Palestinian resistance groups.

Undoubtedly, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s support and principled policies have played a major role in thwarting attempts aimed at stripping the Palestinian nation of their rights,” he pointed out.

During talks with Nakhala, Amir Khojasteh said that the Palestinian cause is still the first and foremost priority of the Islamic world and Muslim nations.

He added that Muslim countries would continue to stand against the occupying regime of Israel until the full liberation of Jerusalem al-Quds and all the Palestinian occupied territories.

The Palestinian official also noted the many victories achieved by the resistance movement in recent years despite difficulties, saying more victories are on their ways in the fight against the Israeli regime.

In a meeting with Nakhala, General Ashtari announced that Iran’s Police Forces are ready to share their experiences and train Palestinian resistance groups

Referring to the great educational capacities of Iran’s police, General Ashtari announced that Iranian Police Forces will hold training courses for Palestinian resistance groups.

Ziad al-Nakhalah, for his part, stressed that the achievements and victories of the Palestinian resistance really owe the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying, “Unlike some regional countries, Iran is the only country that stands by the Palestinian resistance”.
