Tasnim – A Palestinian parliamentarian and senior member of Hamas praised as “successful and constructive” the outcome of a visit to Iran by a Palestinian parliamentary delegation, stressing the need for concerted action against the so-called “deal of the century”.
Mushir Al-Masri, a top member of Hamas and Palestinian MP, who has visited Iran with a Palestinian parliamentary delegation, told Tasnim in an interview that the visit was part of a regional tour of Hamas’ parliamentary faction to South Africa, Lebanon and Turkey.
He said the visit by the Hamas delegation, led by Mahmoud al-Zahar, the co-founder of Hamas and a member of the Hamas leadership in Gaza, was successful, fruitful and constructive.
“During the visit, we met Iranian officials at various levels. I believe that Iranian officials have a deep understanding of the issue of Palestine, particularly the challenges that the issue of Palestine is facing, and most notably what is known as the deal of the century,” Masri noted.
He also noted that the Iranian officials are aware of “the necessity for unification of efforts by the resistance groups and for deterrence in the region in order to counter the Zionist plot” for the so-called deal of the century.
Masri then emphasized the necessity for joint efforts by the Arab and Islamic groups in support of the Palestinian nation for countering the deal of the century and rising to the challenges to the Palestinian issue.
“I believe that this trip (to Iran) was successful and that practical steps will be taken accordingly,” he concluded.
