President.ir - The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran was officially welcomed by President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an of Turkey on Thursday at the presidential palace.

After the national anthems of the two countries were played, President Hassan Rouhani and President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an reviewed the honour guards and introduced their high-ranking delegations to each other.

The two Presidents then began their bilateral meeting and they are scheduled to attend the 5th Meeting of High Council for Iran-Turkey Strategic Cooperation.

Signing of cooperation pacts and attending the economic conference of Iran and Turkey are among Dr Rouhani�s other programmes during the visit.
