Russian Iranologists expanding Tehran-Moscow ties

IRNA – Iran’s embassy in Russia hosted dozens of thinkers, Iranologists and professors of Persian language from different parts of Russia and surrounding countries, which have a great role in the recognition of Iran and Iranian in Russian speaking countries.

During the gathering on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution, which took place as the fourth annual conference of Iranologists and Persian language professors at the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, the participants presented their views to strengthen cultural and literary cooperation.

Iranian Ambassador to Iran Mehdi Sanaie, saying that Iranology and Iranologists have great support for Iran-Russia relations, noted, ‘Since four years ago, the meeting has been continuously proceeding.’

As a matter of fact, Iranian activities are summed up throughout the year, he said.

‘As a matter of fact, Iranologists’ activities throughout Russia are linked with Iranian embassy in Moscow,’ he said, adding that ‘we invite representatives of various Iranian institutions that are linked to Iranology area abroad; Iranian universities are also invited to exchange views with Russian Iranologists at such meetings.
