Iran offers to provide health services to Yemen, Syria



Sputnik - Iranian Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi said that the country is ready to provide health services to the war-torn regions of Yemen and Syria.




During the National Cradle Conference held inHyderabad, India onWednesday, Hashemi said that Iran is ready toprovide health services tothe mothers and babies ofYemen, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, IRNA reported.

The Iranian minister referred toIran's advances inthe promotion ofhealthcare acrossthe country and noted that Tehran is ready totransfer its experiences toother countries.

The two-day National Cradle Conference onobstetrics, gynaecology, and fertility is being attended byover 600 delegates fromacross India withover 80 renowned faculties including international experts fromthe USA, UK, Canada, Iran and Australia.

Yemen has been gripped bya civil war withthe government headed byAbd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi fighting the Houthi movement. The government is backed bythe Saudi-led coalition, which has been carrying outairstrikes targeted atareas controlled bythe Houthis sinceMarch 2015.
