IRNA – German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on the eve of the EU Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs in Brussels said that the nuclear deal with Iran is important for Europe’s security.
“We don’t want Iran to return to uranium enrichment once again for military purposes,’ Maas said on Monday. ‘We think it can only be done based on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and it’s just acceptable.’
Maas added that ‘we want to take steps to facilitate financial and economic activities in Iran’.
‘There have been talks between Germany and France that have to be implemented as a result,’ he said of the EU’s special mechanism. “There is a special consideration in Brussels today.’
