ISNA – Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi has arrived in Vienna on Wednesday to attend the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology.
He is to give a speech at the IAEA Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology, which will take place in the Austrian capital from November 28 to 30, 2018.
The Vienna conference seeks to facilitate high-level dialogue among participants on nuclear science, technology and applications for peaceful uses, and on their delivery to Member States, mainly through the Agency’s technical cooperation program, while highlighting their future contribution to sustainable development, according to IAEA website.
The event will be attended by all members of IAEA including more than 30 ministers.
During the conference, the latest developments related to applications of science and technology in the nuclear field as well as the IAEA’ future measures and programs will be discussed. At the end the ministers will released a statement.
Salehi will also meet with the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano on the sidelines of the event.
