Zarif: Italy determined to support Iran Deal

IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message emphasized Italy’s determination to support Iran nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“Met with Italian FM on sidelines of #MED2018; reviewed bilateral ties & peace efforts in Yemen, Syria & Libya. Also met with large group of Italian businesses eager to engage with Iran. All riled by US bullying & determined to protect #JCPOA & to ensure Iran’s economic dividends,” Zarif tweeted on Friday.

‘We will put forth our stances about the dangerous situation of the region,’ Iran foreign minister earlier told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) upon arriving in Rome to take part in the annual International Mediterranean Dialogues Conference (IMED).

Representatives from 56 countries are expected to attend the conference.

The Iranian foreign minister participated in and addressed the third round of IMED last year.

He also said that the Iranian delegation will have meetings with Italian authorities and Italian entrepreneurs and traders, and Iranians residing in Italy.

Zarif added, ‘We are to talk about Special-Purpoese Vehicle (SPV), as well.’
