IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says Iranian and Italian small- and medium-sized companies are to cooperate.
Outlining outcome of his ‘good’ discussions with the Italian counterpart Moavero Milanesi on Thursday, Zarif said regional developments including Yemen and Syrian crises were also touched on in the talks with the host.
He said Iran and the EU will preserve the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
“We had good discussions, we explored ways to salvage JCPOA and EU special financial mechanism for keeping cooperation with Iran,” said the minister.
Zarif is currently in Rome to take part in the annual International Mediterranean Dialogues Conference (IMED).
Zarif is also slated to hold talks with the Italian Parliament Speaker Roberto Fico during his two-day visit to the country.
