IRNA – Iran’s defense minister said Tuesday the newly imposed sanctions on Iran would make the country more self-sufficient in the field of defense.
Sanctions are not a new issue, rather Iran has been facing it since a long time ago, Brigadier General Amir Hatami said in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
‘Every time, I can say firmly, we have got more determined to stand on our own feet,’ General Hatami said.
Following the sanctions, the minister said, various issues have been spotted and appropriate solutions proposed.
‘Given the plans drawn and the measures taken, we are inching toward being self-sufficient and self-reliant,’ he said.
One hundred percent of our domestic needs can be met by Iran’s young talents, he said.
