Kazakh delegation visits Tehran to hold consular meeting

IRNA – A high profile delegation from Kazakh Foreign Ministry arrives in Tehran on Tuesday to hold a consular consultative meeting with Iranian officials, reported a Kazakh media.

The delegation is headed by the Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tauboldy Umbetbayev, said Kaz Talk citing the head of press service at Kazakh Foreign Ministry Aibek Smadiyarov.

The report did not mention the exact points to be talked about during the meeting, but said that the meeting is expected to see discussing a wide range of bilateral consular topics, legal considerations of visa, and protecting the both nations’ interests and rights.

Iran and Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of understanding on various legal and political topics in the meeting of their joint consular committee in Kazakh capital Astana two years ago.
