Enemy unable to pose threats against Iran: Commander

IRNA Enemy is not powerful enough to pose threats to Iran, a senior military commander said on Sunday.


Iran's armed forces recognize all the threats and can assure people that the enemy is not able to pose threats against the country, Habibollah Sayyari, deputy army chief for coordination affairs said on Monday.

He made the remarks in a press conference on Modafean-e-Aseman-e-Velayat 8 (The Defenders of Velayat Skies 7) war games featuring Irans Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

Iran has considered various scenarios to couner the threats, the commander noted.

He referred to the anti-Iranian sanctions and noted that thanks to the efforts of Iranian youth, the Iranian armed forces are now self-sufficient.

The 2-day war games are are expected to start on Monday and will take place over an area covering 500,000 square kilometers throughout Irans northern, western, eastern and central parts.
