MNA � A number of university and high school students met with Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei on Sat., ahead of the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance.







The meeting took place as Iran prepares to commemorate on Sunday the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the US embassy by Iranian students in�Tehran.

The 13th day of the Iranian calendar month of Aban, which falls on November 4 this year, is known as the Student Day in Iran, marking National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance.

On this day 39 year ago, a group of Iranian university students took over the US embassy in Tehran, which they believed had turned into a center of espionage.

Each year, Iranians�take to the streets across the nation to commemorate�the occasion in massive rallies.
