Iran, Iraqi Kurdistan negotiate to ease border traffic

IRNA – Easing the border and trade traffic was discussed in a meeting between Iranian Consul General Morteza Ebadi and Iraqi Kurdistan minister of interior Abdul Karim Sultan Sinjari.

Ebadi and Sinjari talked about the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region and security and trade interactions.

The Iranian consul general reported on most recent measures taken as to strengthen trade interactions and to facilitate border and trade interactions between Iran and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, which was welcomed by the Iraqi authority.

They agreed that local authorities have coordination meetings on both sides of the border for better and more interactions.

They also made an agreement on providing insurance coverage for Iraqi cars in Iran.
