IRNA - Iranian 56th naval flotilla docked in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, on Thursday.
The flotilla was welcomed by commanders of the region.
The Iranian naval fleet, including destroyer Naqdi, logistic Bushehr navy ship, returned home after 65 days of sailing and traveling 8,782 Nautical miles, said a top military official.
Constant presence of the Iranian navy in the open waters is to implement the orders of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, safeguard the interests of Iran in distant waters, hoisting the flag of Iran, neutralizing Iranophobia, and securing the sailing paths of the country.
