Iranian officials unite against US vicious plots

October 29, The Iran Project - The United States re-impositionof unilateral sanctions on Iran following withdrawalfrom the 2015 nuclear deal and its viciousplots in the Middle East for wagingfratricidal war made Iranian officials to take firm stances against the violater of multiple accords.

On Monday (Oct. 29),upon arrival in the Turkish city of Istanbul to attend a tripartite meeting, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said nothingimportant will happen after the second phase of US sanctions due to be re-imposed against the country on 4th of November.

The experience has proven that the sanctions are more psychological than practical; the psychological effects of US sanctions against Iran has been felt since the day Trump pulled out of the JCPOA.

Elsewhere in his remarks the top Iranian diplomat noted thata new European Union mechanism to facilitate payments for Iranian exports will be in place in coming days, adding thatWith the new mechanism and given the fact that Americans are now isolated in the international community, no country would support US moves except for some regional regimes.

Also on Sunday (Oct. 28), in an interview with CBS News, referring to US wrong policy in the region, Zarif said, "The United States' choices in the Middle East are wrong, and these wrong choices lead to the disaster in our region."

"We knew that the invasion of Iraq was the wrong choice, although Saddam Hussein was our enemy. We knew that the attack against Afghanistan was the wrong choice although Taliban were our enemy, he stated, adding, We know that the invasion and attack, bombardment of Yemen are wrong choices.

But the United States is continuously and persistently on the wrong side," the Iranian foreign minister asserted.

In a meantime, on the same day,the spokesman of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) saidthe presence of Irans military advisors neutralized the US plots in the region to ignite religious, sectarian and fratricidal wars.

"The American officials confess that they promoted and propped up the Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group to wage religious, sectarian and fratricidal wars in the Middle East,"Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi told IRNA.

General Shekarchi said that the opposition groups led by the United States, from the early days after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979, have been trying to undermine the Islamic Establishment in the country.
