Tehran Times - Iran national football team will meet Qatar in a friendly match prior to the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

The match has been scheduled for December 31, Qatari newspaper Al-Raya reported.

Iran friendly match with Venezuela is in doubt and Team Melli will meet Trinidad and Tobago in Tehran on Nov. 15.

Carlos Queiroz�s men beat Uzbekistan 1-0 in September and defeated Bolivia 2-1 on Oct. 16 in Tehran.

Team Melli are preparing for the AFC Asian Cup 2019, where they have been drawn along with Iraq, Vietnam and Yemen.

Iran have not won the title since 1976.

The AFC Asian Cup 2019 will be held in the UAE from Jan.5 to Feb. 1.
